FAQs
Can I specify a particular time for my dog to be walked?
My daily group dog walks are generally carried out between 11.00am and 2.30pm though pick ups may be earlier and drop offs may be later. Depends on the dogs on a particular day and traffic conditions and weather and so forth. I can never pinpoint the exact time but I endeavour to walk as near to any requested time as possible. However, please contact me to discuss your particular requirements and I’ll do my best to fit in with your needs.
Will I be charged If I cancel a dog walk at short notice?
I am very flexible when it comes to bookings and 24hrs notice will ensure there is no cancellation fee.
How many dogs do you walk at any one time?
I walk no more than 4 - 5 dogs at any one time. Each dog has to pass a behaviour assessment prior to my group walks, this ensures not only safety but enjoyment too!
Group dog walking is a fantastic way to socialise your dog and build their confidence and they gain greatly from this social aspect of their walks.
Do your services cater for all dog breeds?
I take each pet on it's own merit and not on the reputation of particular breeds. I meet all dogs before I walk them and each new dog is subject to a trial period and a behavioural assessment by myself.
Do you walk dogs off lead
I will only let your dog off the lead once I have fully bonded and formed a relationship with your dog. A dog walking application will be given to you at the beginning to fill out and we must have written/signed consent to allow your dog off lead. If your dog is not so good on their recall I prefer to keep them on a long lead and let them run and explore in safety.
Why are solo walks more expensive than group walks?
All dogs have different personalities, if your dog is nervous, timid, less sociable or an adolescent a 1-1 Training Session maybe the better choice, until you dog is ready to graduate to groups. Whether you choose the group or 1-1 Training Session, you can rest assured that your dogs safety and welfare will always be my top priority. Of course, there will be plenty of time for fun and games and i will ensure your dog receives plenty of attention and stimulation in a fun and exciting environment.
I'm unsure whether my dog needs a solo or group walks.
As group walks are very sociable your dog will need to have good doggy manners and recall if off lead. If needed this can be worked on initially during a 1-1 Training Session before your dog is introduced to a group walk slot. Please contact me for further information if you are still unsure, i will also be able to advise the best option during the initial meet and greet.
